Training an XL Bully

Training a Bulldog is different to training a German Shepherd and requires specific knowledge of the breed to get the best out of them. Bulldogs are kind and courageous, but they shouldn’t be vicious or aggressive without command, so proper socialisation is vital. With a stubborn streak in the breed, Bulldog obedience training is vital to ensure bad habits are kept at bay.

Bulldogs grow from cute cuddle puppies to 45-55kg, the strong powerful dog very quickly. It’s important to assert yourself as the ‘pack leader’, so our training will ensure your bulldog obeys your command and that you feel confident handling your dog.

We are still willing to undertake XL bully training throughout the UK. Customers in England & Wales must comply with Government guidelines.

Our senior trainer, Rob, loves and specialises in XL Bullies and is willing to travel anywhere in the UK to assist this misunderstood breed. Personally, Rob has trained the grandson of the famous Hulk from Dark Dynasty Kennels in America.

When it comes to training Bulldogs, it differs from training German Shepherds and requires specific breed knowledge to maximise their potential. Bulldogs possess kindness and courage, but they should not exhibit viciousness or aggression without command, making proper socialisation vital. Given the breed's stubborn streak, Bulldog obedience training becomes crucial to prevent the development of undesirable habits.

Bulldogs rapidly transition from cute and cuddly puppies to strong, powerful dogs weighing 45-55kg. Establishing yourself as the 'pack leader' is essential to ensure your Bulldog obediently follows your commands and to boost your confidence in handling your dog.

At our facility, we prioritise positive reinforcement and abstain from using compulsion methods such as e-collars or prong collars. Moreover, we often come across Bullies wearing harnesses, which encourage pulling. To shape behaviours, we employ influence collars instead.

Our training approach commences with environmental training, thoroughly socialising your dog to prevent unwarranted aggression or shyness in public spaces. Basic obedience training covers essential commands such as "sit," "stay," "down," recall, and food refusal. Once these commands are mastered, dogs progress to more specialised training tailored for protection or service purposes.

We have developed a training programme specifically for XL Bully dogs, aiming to help them become well-behaved, obedient, and a joy to be around. We understand the unique nature of each dog and the need for individual attention. That's why we offer personalised one-on-one training sessions that cater to your dog's specific needs.

To begin the training programme, we conduct an initial consultation where we discuss your dog's personality, behaviour, and any specific challenges you may be facing. Based on this information, we create a customised training plan that addresses your dog's unique requirements.

We believe in using positive reinforcement as our primary training method. This means we focus on rewarding good behaviour rather than punishing bad behaviour. This approach not only helps dogs learn more quickly but also strengthens the bond between you and your dog.

Our training services cover a wide range of areas, including obedience training, lead training, crate training, and socialisation. We can also address specific issues such as barking, chewing, and aggression.

Our trainers are experienced and knowledgeable, working closely with you and your dog to achieve the desired results. We are committed to helping you build a strong and positive relationship that will last a lifetime.

Training for XL Bullies

We believe in positive reinforcement and we do not use compulsion methods such as e-collars or prong collars. Similarly, we see lots of Bullies with harnesses on. Harnesses are used to encourage a dog to pull so we use influence collars to help shape behaviours.

We’ll begin with environmental training, ensuring your dog is fully socialised to prevent unwanted aggression or shyness in public spaces. Our basic obedience training will see your dog correctly responding to “sit”, “stay”, “down”, recall and food refusal commands, and once mastered they will move onto more specialised training for protection or service. If you’d like to learn more about our Bulldog training, call us directly 24/7 or use our WhatsApp.
