Cane Corso Dog Training

We are highly experienced Cane Corso training specialists, working with puppies from twelve months of age. Cane Corso dogs are enormous, muscular Italian dogs. They were originally bred for hunting and defence or security at first, but are now popular as home pets.

Cane Corsos are well-known for their devotion and protective instincts, which make them excellent guard dogs. They are intelligent which makes them trainable and also makes them very popular among dog owners. However, it is important to note that Cane Corsos require a lot of exercise and socialisation because they might develop aggressive or unwanted behaviours if they are not properly trained and socialised. They also require a lot of attention and care because they can develop health problems including hip dysplasia and bloat. Overall, Cane Corso dogs are great companions for people ready to put in the time and effort.

With professional Cane Corso dog training, your canine can excel in professional roles due to their confident and intuitive attitudes. They are naturally protective and wary of strangers, which makes them ideal personal protection dogs.

Training options include:

Training for Cane Corso

Cane Corsos are intelligent, wilful, loyal and eager to please their owners while being a large breed, which is why it is so important to undertake professional training in obedience and protection. They can become quite aggressive towards other dogs without correct socialisation which makes training and early socialisation crucial for this breed.

We’ll begin with environmental training, ensuring your dog is fully socialised to prevent unwanted aggression or shyness in public spaces. Our basic obedience training will see your dog correctly responding to “sit”, “stay”, “down”, recall and food refusal commands, and once mastered they will move onto more specialised training for protection or service. Although Cane Corsos have a wilful and assertive nature, our full handover will teach you how to be a firm and confident handler, to ensure that you remain the ‘pack leader’.
